Mo has a rare combination of creative genius and business skills which makes her a natural design thinker. I've learnt a huge amount from Mo both in regards to Design Thinking and facilitation - but the highlight has been "Wicked Problems & Ambiguity" at Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Great course with life-long learnings in it for both business and personal life. Fantastic design thinking practitioner and instructor.
Mo recently addressed delegates at our Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia conference. Using a dynamic and engaging style of anecdotes, movement and passionate story telling Mo challenged delegates to approach wicked problems by asking different questions. This led to much post session discussion on what might be the different questions! It was a unique combination of awakening people to possibilities rather than 'giving the answers' Well done Mo - the hall marks of a true change agent.
Mo is a Design Thinking wiz! She leads training courses for large ANZ clients and teams across APJ and Latin America so I had the privilege to learn and refine my Design Thinking & facilitation skills directly with her. Mo equipped me with spot-on tips & techniques and enabled me to immediately start applying them in my job. I’m a big fan of Mo’s energetic and highly experienced teaching approach, she leads by example as her personality truly combines creativity with business thinking. She’s a very professional and inspirational person to work with - I can't wait for our next coaching session!
How to describe Mo? Dynamic, intriguing, inquisitive, playful, fun… are some of the adjectives that spring to mind. Tasked with helping our company foster and embed a culture of innovation, we’ve embarked on a 6-workshop journey with Mo at the helm. And it’s been great! Through exploration and play we’ve considered different facets of the creative mindset, coming away from each workshop with actual stuff we can use – different ways of looking, and thinking, and doing. I highly recommend Mo to anyone wanting to shake things up, to be challenged, or to rekindle their willingness to play in the pursuit of exciting new things!
Mo’s talent is to see beyond the mechanics, to what’s valuable, what makes a company tick. She asked questions that we hadn’t thought to ask, which gave us new insights into our company, our culture, our relationships with our clients, and into the nature of our business. We are making better decisions. We trust her, and can’t wait to work with her again.
Mo Fox is one of the best presenters you will ever meet. Her message is uniquely tailored for cultural transformation at all levels and her seminars can be a life-changing event for individuals & teams, which has a flow on effect for the rest of the organisation. DO NOT pass up an opportunity to work with Mo. She’ll have a positive impact on your bottom line & internal productivity, and is guaranteed to transform your organisational relationships.
I have the great privilege of working alongside Mo in her capacity as a business consultant, facilitator and mentor. Over the past 2 years CGU and I have been the beneficiary of Mo's expert strategic, design, stakeholder management, facilitation and teaching skills. Mo is an extraordinary talent who has enabled a business led design capability within CGU.
Mo will make you think in new ways, guaranteed. It's her gift. Not only is she super smart, she has an incredible ability to convey those smarts to an audience in a way that they understand. The Wicked Problems workshop had the most engaging start I think I have ever experienced - and the energy continued through out the day. As as result of the workshop my problem solving skills have evolved, especially my appreciation and understanding of how ambiguity can impact complex and wicked problems. Thoroughly recommended.
Mo is a superstar. She recently spoke at our Businesswomen's Breakfast Series and simply blew the audience away! They were engaged, entertained and inspired by a professional who knows how to challenge the status quo, ditch the fluff and deliver relevant and useful information that makes a profound difference to those in attendance. We will definitely be using her again.
As Head of Talent at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), I hired Mo to design and faciltiate a very special three-day "Design Thinking" strategic facilitation experience for our high potential top 100 Executive Managers at CBA. She brought to the assignment an incredible way to use art as a metaphor for creative, innovative and strategic thinking for our banking executives. Her methodologies and presence opened our left-brain analytic thinkers to the potential of new ways of thinking and working innovatively with their teams. Mo was inspirational and a lot of fun to work with and brings a real insight into on how to get the "lead out of our brains" and the zest back into thinking.
This is probably one of the most enlightening courses I have ever attended. My background is very process and project driven, so I assume all problems can be solved and have a tendency to apply the same standard process across the board. I didn't even know problems could be defined as 'Wicked'. What is a 'Wicked Problem'? Everyone has them; they are subjective, social and personal and resist definition. This makes them hard to understand and quite possibly unfixable, but that doesn't mean you should just sit back and do nothing. Mo Fox's Wicked Problems and Ambiguity course helps you change your perspective and attitude towards this type of problem, she shares her knowledge and experience on how to navigate through, around and over them to find a better outcome to where you started. the energy and passion Mo uses during her course is contagious and really helps you understand the tools and knowledge she shares with you. Two days back in the office and I am already making progress by changing the way that I look at things and using some of the tools/skills I learnt.
Mo recently ran a fantastic Studio Thinking workshop on the “Innovation Mindset: Think like an Artist” for us at AMP. What makes Mo unique is that she has the background in business combined with the skills and insights of being a fine artist. Her examples, exercises and thought provoking questions were spot on for the ‘corporate world’. The workshop was highly engaging and I have recommend her and her work to my networks.
Mo is magic! Her presentation to SHE Business members and guests was effective, fun, interactive and thought provoking. Her interaction with attendees was genuine and her ability to think quickly noteworthy. Highly recommend her Studio Thinking presentation.
Dynamic, informative and engaging - participants not only understand but can apply her concepts immediately. Mo is a gifted presenter and trainer who taps people's creativity in such a fun way that they walk away confident they can develop new areas of expertise in subjects ranging from Influence to Change. The feedback? "More Mo!"
Thanks for the work you did with the South West Housing’s Access and Demand teams planning day at Campbelltown. The numbers attending grew at the last minute so with sixty plus staff turning up and the acoustics in the venue not being the best I appreciate you handling the difficulties so well. As you know the aims for the day were to provide staff with something that was informative, practical and fun and these were achieved. The feedback from staff has been overwhelmingly positive and although many were perhaps initially nervous and out of their comfort zones about drawing and communicating through art, the day was a tremendous success with staff commenting about how interesting and enjoyable it was and how much they got out of the day personally.
Thanks so much for the workshop Mo - you're a great presenter. Very few people can deliver complex and quite abstract concepts so well and make it tangible and relevant to an audience. In addition you made it fun and active. That's awesome!
Sometimes in life you come across people who just know how to help others make a difference. Mo Fox is one of those rare people. She’s a business strategist, mentor and coach, artist, erstwhile dog trainer… and more. I host sales events for sales directors, senior salespeople and consultants. Mo recently presented to this audience for me and received fantastic reviews. Her insights into ‘how we see’ will help anybody get better results - especially sales people. Go to her seminars, engage her services, read her blog. You’ll see more if you do.
Damn, is Mo good. Such fresh, powerful ideas, so succinctly phrased. And the experiential parts of the workshop were a revelation. Mo's material is strikingly relevant to every organisation attempting any kind of change program, and of immense importance to establishing true creativity and innovation. I see immediate and compelling applications for these ideas/processes in my organisational development practice, starting with my very next client. On a personal level, I've noticed a dramatic change in my working style and thinking, instantly after the workshop. This is astounding for a 4 hour class. I realise this testimonial may sound like hyperbole. Again, oh well. My reaction stems from my experience: dozens of workshops taken and forgotten. I will not forget Studio Thinking. Finally, as if the above wasn't enough, Studio Thinking was fun.
It's so easy to jump straight into a creative or logistical project without really understanding the foundations. Mo's facilitation in brainstorms is second to none. She has a way of pulling everything (and everyone!) apart to get to the bottom of things. She has helped us bring clarity to briefs and a real sense of understanding for all facets of a project - the creative, the logistical, the audience and the client. If you need fresh eyes and clear speech - Go to wo with Mo!
Mo Fox brings a level of rare insight and depth to her work backed by a rich intelligence and extensive experience in diverse fields on different continents. She is erudite, provocative and challenging in her approach and management of learning and facilitation experiences. A rare talent.
